Edward. L. Ogorek, age 87, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on April 2, 2015. He was born in Yorklyn, DE to the late Alexander Ogorek and Mary Wisnewski.

Ed was a long-time resident of Hockessin and a member of the Hockessin Fire Company. He and his brothers owned and operated the Gulf Gas Station in Hockessin. In 1992, Ed retired from George Regester and Sons as a Party Chief, Land Surveyor.

Ed was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. He was often seen in his yard and was noted for sharing a Free Stand to share his vegetables.

Ed is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha White Ogorek; his son, James Ogorek (Carol) of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Diane Buchanan (J. Robert) of Hockessin; Thomas Ogorek (Deborah) of Hockessin; Patrick Ogorek (Kimberly) of Bear; Jeffrey Ogorek (Sharyn) of Davie, FL; 10 grandchildren; and sister Helen Ogorek of Hockessin.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Ed's memory to Seasons Hospice, 4755 Ogletown Stanton Road, 6th Floor Newark, DE 19718.
