Michael P. Bingnear, Sr., age 64, of Newark, DE, formerly of Boothwyn, PA., passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 after a short illness.

Michael graduated from Chichester High School in Boothwyn, Pa in 1968. He was retired from Kimberley Clark after 44 years of service.

He loved spending time at his beach house and spending time with his family. He was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

Michael is pre-deceased by his parents, Francis and Mary Kathleen Bingnear, and his brother, Francis (Butch) Bingnear. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lori Cook Bingnear, his sons; Michael Jr. and his wife Lyndsay, of Bear, DE and Timothy of Newark, a daughter, Danielle Bingnear of Newark, a brother, John R. Bingnear and his wife Lois of Bear, DE, his sisters; Maureen Clendenin of Boothwyn, PA, Suzanne White of Sahuarita, AZ, Karen Smith and her husband John of Boothwyn, Lisa Macknis and her husband Bob of Landenburg, PA., many nieces and nephews, and his step-mother Elizabeth (Betty) Bingnear of Longneck, DE.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Delaware Chapter, 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 725, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
