Richard William Monnig, age 72, of Wilmington, Delaware originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, died on Tuesday November 22, 2016.

Dick attended Elder High School where he graduated in 1962 and continued his education at the University of Cincinnati graduating in 1966. He was a proud member of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. Happily retired for 23 years after working as a Sales Executive for the IBM Corporation, he enjoyed traveling to Florida and the Poconos spending time with his family and working on their historic home.

He is survived by Ki, his wife of 27 years, his four children, Christina Gray (Brad); Melanie Fischer (Bret); Richard (Tricia) and Bradley (Bunny); his five grandchildren, Austin and Brynn Gray; Sam and Emilie Monnig and Monica Fischer as well as four brothers, one sister and many, many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine, 10 Old Church Road Greenville, Delaware followed by a Memorial Mass at 2:00 pm.
