Stephen X. Calvarese, age 66, of Wilmington DE passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was predeceased by his father, Dr. Joseph A. Calvarese; mother, Louise DiSabatino Calvarese Conway; and stepfather, Al Conway.
Stephen was a graduate of Brandywine High School and the University of Delaware. He was the proud owner of Xavier's Hair Salon in Rehoboth DE. He was an art and history enthusiast, as well as an avid dog lover.
Stephen was a beloved brother and uncle to his family. He is survived by brother, Joseph A. Calvarese, Jr. (Carol); sister, Mary Jo Chandler (James); and sister, Angela C. Frey. He had seven nieces and eight great nieces and nephews who meant the world to him. His love, intelligence, and humor will be missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 901 N. Dupont Street, Wilmington DE. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to Ingleside Homes Benevolence Funds, 105 N. Franklin St., Wilmington DE 19806.
